Aspyr Media is in the home stretch in its development of the Macintosh conversion of the hit World War II-era first person shooter, Call of Duty 2. Aspyr has announced final system requirements for Call of Duty 2, which it typically does four to six weeks before a game ultimately ships.
'Machinations: Fog of War' is a 150,000-word interactive fantasy novel by Chris Conley, where your choices control the story. It's entirely text-based-without graphics or sound effects-and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.
Call of Duty 2 returns you to the European theater of war during World War II. You fight through the eyes of ordinary soldiers on the ground in epic historic conflicts, battling as a tank hunter in Russia, fighting Nazis on D-Day, and squaring off against the “Desert Fox” in North Africa. You can also engage in multiplayer Axis vs. Allies combat online. The game has been a breakout hit since its introduction on Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and is also available for Windows.
Improvements over the original Call of Duty include bigger, more intense battles, newer more realistic graphics using a new engine, rendered snow, rain, fog and smoke, dynamic lighting and shadows and more.
Final minimum Mac system requirements for Call of Duty 2 call for Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later, G5/1.8GHz or faster or Intel CPU, 512MB RAM, 4.0GB hard disk space, Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 or ATI Radeon 9600 or better 3D graphics card with at least 64MB VRAM, DVD-ROM.
Aspyr recommends Mac OS X v10.4.5 or later, G5/2.0GHz or faster, 1GB RAM and 128MB VRAM for optimal performance.
